Int'l Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, IWD is a national holiday. Since the US doesn't have a national holiday for women, the least we can do is honor women who lead the peace movement. In the Tampa Bay area, women have led the way for the past seven years in the fight for peace and social justice - here are some of those remarkable women.
